The work of Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action is funded by The Scottish Government, Aberdeenshire Council and locally with the funds from our own Magpie Charity Shop.
AVA are part of a Scotland-wide network of Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) and we are one of 32 working with communities across the country. These 32 TSIs build on a long history of local third sector infrastructure - we have experience of helping communities help themselves through the power of volunteering and we help to harness the passion of individuals to come together to improve their community. TSIs build social value by developing enterprising agencies whose profit is for the community they seek to serve and we put the community at the heart of local decisions by ensuring the views of the third sector and the communities they support are heard and understood.
TSIs are held to account through a set of common standards, services and outcomes agreed with the Scottish Government and against which we report.
Voluntary Action Scotland is the network organisation for Scotland’s TSIs and you can see a list of all 32 TSIs on their site here.
